1. Post received a Diplomatic Note from Brazil's Foreign Ministry
on June 29, 2007, referring to the Government of Brazil's position
about the bilateral International Space Station Arrangement (ISS).
The Diplomatic Note is as follows:

"The Ministry of External Relations complements the United States of
America Embassy and has the honor to refer to Diplomatic Note number
189 dated May 23, 2007, in which the Embassy transmits the desire of
the Government of the United States of America to terminate or
suspend the Complementary Adjustment in relation to the Brazilian
participation in the project and construction of the International
Space Station.

2) Regarding this matter, the Ministry of External Relations
transmits the Government of Brazil's position of agreeing to the
suspension of the Complementary Adjustment in reference to the
Brazilian participation in the International Space Station, with the
objective of evaluating future opportunities of additional
cooperation in this area."
