1. (S) Post leadership continues to raise our concerns to
the Government of Germany about Iran's failure to comply with
its international nuclear nonproliferation and UNSCR-mandated
obligations regularly. The Ambassador has discussed issues
noted in reftel with the highest levels of German government,
and recently accompanied Treasury U/S Stuart Levey during his
Iran-related meetings with senior German officials. In
addition to continuing its role in the P5 1 framework,
Germany has also provided implementation reports on both
UNSCRs 1737 and 1747 to the UNSC Iran Sanctions committee, as
noted in reftel.
2. (C) Post will continue to raise our concerns about Iran's
failure to comply with its international obligations with the
German government and will report on any new developments.
