(SBU) In coordination with Russian partners, poloff February 
9 delivered reftel demarche about plans for outreach 
regarding the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism 
to MFA Arms Control Department official Yang Yi. Yang 
thanked the co-chairs for the information, noting China's 
strong interest in possible future partners. MFA will 
carefully review the list of seven candidates. Noting that 
the Chinese delegation departs Beijing tomorrow February 10, 
Yang said China would discuss any objections at the February 
12 meeting in Ankara.
