(C) Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Secretariat press 
counselor Zakharov confirmed to poloff March 21 that, despite 
rumors to the contrary, the 2007 summit meeting of SCO heads 
of state is scheduled for August in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The 
SCO Secretariat has not finalized the exact meeting date, 
Zakharov said, but noted that Kyrgyz officials have proposed 
August 16 as the summit date. Press reports suggesting the 
meeting location would be moved are inaccurate, he said.
