individuals and companies proposed for listing by the
United Nation's 1533 Committee for their role in
violating UNSC resolutions concerning the Democrtic
Republic of the Congo (DROC),MFA Internaional
Organizations Department UN Division Deputy Director
Yao Shaojun said in response to Poloff's demarche
delivering reftel points. The United States and China
have cooperated closely on policy toward the DROC so
far, he noted. Poloff emphasized that the individuals
and companies proposed for listing by the United
States have been involved in violations of the weapons
embargo, in gold trade with rebel groups and have
otherwise played a role in undermining stability in
the DROC.
