1. (SBU) Per reftel request, AIT/T contacted the ultimate consignee,
Professor Huei Wang, the foreign intermediate consignee, Li
Chao-chieh, and the National Taiwan University (NTU). The NTU
Personnel Office stated that Prof. Wang Huei is on its faculty but
not Li Chao-chieh.
2. (SBU) Prof. Wang confirmed that he ordered the subject
amplifiers. He stated that Li Chao-chieh is his student who was
assisting him in locating suppliers for the amplifiers. Prof. Wang
further stated that the amplifiers would be used for various
millimeter-wave testing and research.
