GRANTED ALLOWING ALL MEMBER STATES TO VOTE IN THE 61ST
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
1. On October 12, the Fifth Committee and the General
Assembly Plenary adopted Article 19 exemptions in document
A/61/512 for the following nine member states: the Central
African Republic, the Comoros, Georgia, Guinea-Bissau,
Liberia, the Niger, Sao Tome and Principe, Somalia, and
Tajikistan. Accordingly, all Article 19 exemption requests
were granted and these member states are now eligible to vote
in the 61st General Assembly.
