1. Embassy received MFA Diplomatic Note Number DES/TO-283/06
granting approval for R/V Pelican to conduct marine
scientific research.
2. Following is the text of the diplomatic note: The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the
Embassy of the United States of America and, with reference
to the Embassy's Note No. 057/06 of 10 April 2006, has the
honor to inform the Embassy that the competent Dutch
authorities have no objections to the proposed research
cruise by the research vessel "Pelican" in the waters of
Curacao, Aruba and Saba from 22 August til 08 September
