(C) Ambassador delivered reftel points on the Secretary's
statement on Iran to Foreign Minister Ilinka Mitreva on June

1. (Mitreva was en route from the Netherlands to Macedonia
on May 31, and therefore was unavailable for a meeting that
day.) Mitreva welcomed the Secretary's statement and said
she would issue a public statement of support. Mitreva
emphasized the GOM's continued support for U.S. and EU-3
efforts to work with Iran to reach a diplomatic solution, and
underscored the need for Iran to cooperate fully with the
IAEA. Post will send via e-mail the text of the statement
Mitreva plans to release.
