1. (U) This is an action request. Please see paragraph 3.
2. (SBU) E/P Counselor and Econoff on December 13 delivered
reftel talking points to Michelle Teo-Jacob and Yvonne Ow of
MFA's International Organizations Directorate. Teo-Jacob and
Ow were receptive, and said they would pass the information
to the Inter-Ministerial Export Control Group. Teo-Jacob
also apologized for the delay in responding to similar
requests and told us the appropriate agencies were still
working on the cases.
3. (SBU) In a follow-up telephone call, Ow requested that
the USG provide technical specifications for the equipment in
question. She also asked for background information about
the Iran-North Korea-Syria Nonproliferation Act and the
sanctions that could result from this activity.
