(C) On March 2, poloff delivered reftel demarche, which
suggested elements the ROK could use in its national
statement on Iran's nuclear activities during the March 6
IAEA Board of Governors meeting, to Director Kwon Hee-seok of
the Disarmament and Nonproliferation Division, Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT). On March 3, Kwon
responded that the ROK would consider Washington's
suggestions as it formulated its national statement, adding
that the U.S. and ROK delegations in Vienna would discuss the
issue prior to the BOG meeting.
