(C) On February 1, poloff conveyed reftel P5 2 statement on
Iran to Yeo Sung-jun, Deputy Director for the Disarmament and
Non-proliferation Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and Trade (MOFAT). After reviewing the P5 2 statement, Yeo
commented that the British Embassy had recently delivered a
copy of British Foreign Minister Jack Straw's statement on
the issue, and that at first blush the two documents appeared
very similar. Yeo added that the ROKG supported the U.S.
position and would work to incorporate reftel points into
their position. In closing, Yeo noted that he would pass on
reftel points to his Director General.
