INAUGURATION


1. On February 23, Embassy received a diplomatic note (No.
4-3-10/06) from the Ecuadorian Embassy in Santiago,
requesting a meeting between Ecuador's President Alfredo
Palacio and the U.S. Head of Delegation for Bachelet's
Inauguration. Original note will be pouched to WHA/BSC.

The Embassy of Ecuador presents its compliments to the
Embassy of the United States of America, and has the honor to
communicate that the President of Ecuador, Dr. Alfredo
Palacio, wishes to have a meeting with the United States Head
of Delegation for Chile's Presidential Inauguration, that
will take place between the 10th and the 12th of March of
this year.

The Embassy of Ecuador presents its appreciation to the
Embassy of the United States of America for its attention to
this note, and avails itself of this opportunity to renew
assurances of its highest and most distinguished
consideration.
