Embassy delivered reftel diplomatic note to the Italian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs February 14. We received the
following reply dated February 27:

(Courtesy opening..) and hereby acknowledges receipt of the
U.S. information for the designation of the U.S. airline
company "American West Airlines" which will operate in
accordance with Article 3 of the Air Transport Agreement
between the Government of Italy and the Government of the
United States and confirms that we have informed the
competent Italian authorities of the designation. (Courtesy
closing).
