The Embassy has posted three fact sheets on the upcoming
Italian election season to the Embassy's Siprnet website.
Sheet 1 (2006 Electoral Timetable) covers the election
timetable. Sheet 2 (2006 From Elections to a New Government)
explains the process of voting a new parliament through the
election of a new President of the Republic to the selection
of a new Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Step 3
(2006 Local Elections) covers local elections. The fact
sheets can be found under the heading "2006 Elections" at
