C) Charge delivered text of Saudi statement on current
violence in the Middle East to MFA Director General for
Bilateral Affairs and Global Cooperation Mohammed Azeroul at
opening of business July 14. Azeroual told Charge that FM
Benaissa, en route to Cairo for the Arab League meeting, was
aware of the Saudi statement. He said that Benaissa had
spoken with Saudi FM al-Faisal by telephone yesterday, and
that the two would meet upon arrival in Cairo in order to
coordinate closely.
