1. (SBU) A/DCM made reftel demarche early on June 1 with
Kathleen Seenarine, MFA Americas Department acting director.
Seenarine said she was familiar with both issues, having
prepared the briefing book for Foreign Minister Knowlson
Gift. She committed to convey our request at once via email
to the T&T embassy in Washington, which she said would be
supporting the T&T delegation at the OAS General Assembly.


2. (U) According to Seenarine, Minister Gift and MFA Americas
Director Mary-Beth West will lead the T&T delegation. They
have already departed Port of Spain for the meeting.
