1. (C) On June 12, Charge delivered reftel demarche on the
opening session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) to Minister
of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Cooperation Madan
Dulloo and subsequently to Secretary for Foreign Affairs
Anand Neewoor. Dulloo said Mauritius wanted the HRC to
succeed and the Mauritian government would take the USG
position under advisement. Neewoor echoed Dulloo's comment,
adding that he expected Dulloo to attend the opening session
of the HRC on June 19.
2. (C) Charge and Poloff will deliver non-paper and points to
the multilateral department of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs on June 13 or 14.
