1) Post has received a diplomatic note dated April 11, 2006
containing an invitation to the ceremony of nomination of
president-elect, Rene Preval. Text follows:
2) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments
to the Embassy of the United States of America in Haiti, and
has the honor to inform that the ceremony will take place on
Sunday, May 14, 2006 at the Legislative Palace in
Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites the US Government to
take part in the ceremony with a delegation composed of three
persons maximum.
The schedule will be forwarded.
The Chancellery would appreciate that the Diplomatic Mission
communicate, within the best time, the composition of this
delegation for purposes to establish precedence.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes this opportunity to
renew its greatest assurances to the Embassy of the United
States of America in Haiti.
