(C) MFA IO DAS-Equivalent for Human Rights Beatrice Le Fraper 
confirmed on April 28 that France would not vote in favor of 
Iran's candidacy to the Human Rights Council (reftel). She 
said she was awaiting guidance from MFA Political Director 
Stanislas de Laboulaye on whether France would actively 
campaign against the Iranian candidacy. Separately, MFA 
Acting DAS-Equivalent for Iran/Iraq/Arabian Gulf Affairs 
Bernard Chappedelaine also confirmed France would not support 
the Iranian candidacy.
