1. On October 2, 2006, Post received a letter from the GoP's
Ministry of Foreign Relations (MFA) acknowledging the GoP's
agreement to delete the computer reservation systems (CRS)
provisions contained in Annex 3 of the Air Transport
Agreement between the GoP and the USG.
2. Below is an unofficial translation of the letter received
from the MFA:

The Ministry of Foreign Relations attentively greets the
Honorable Embassy of the United States of America and has the
honor of advising it of the receipt of its note No. 1221,
dated August 7, 2006, through which the elimination of Annex
3 of the Air Transport Agreement between the GoP and the USG,
dated May 8, 1997, is proposed.
Regarding this matter, the Ministry of Foreign Relations is
happy to inform the Honorable Embassy of the United States of
America that the Government of the Republic of Panama accepts
the elimination of the above-referenced Annex, through which
the note of the Honorable Embassy and this letter constitute
an agreement, which will enter into force as of the date of
this letter.
The Ministry of Foreign Relations takes this opportunity to
reiterate to the Honorable Embassy of the United States of
America its assurances of its highest and distinguished
considerations.
