1. (SBU) On January 26 poloff delivered reftel message to
Vasos Chamberlain in the MFA's Bilateral Affairs Division.
Chamberlain said Cyprus would support EU policy on the
Belarussian presidential election, including any efforts to
engage the international media. He characterized the EU
position as very much in line with that of the United States,
and stressed that, as a small country, Cyprus had very little
bilateral contact with Minsk.
