On July 6, Polcouns provided reftel talking points and the
White House statement to the MFA's A/Director of Multilateral
Affairs Liliana Silveira. She accepted them attentively, but
did not offer any substantive response other than that the
GOU had not yet issued any public statement on the missile
launches. Embassy notes that most media reaction here towards
the North Korean missile launches has been negative. Embassy
will relay to the Department any additional developments or
reactions as appropriate.
