SIPDIS

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain
presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States
of America in the Kingdom of Bahrain and would like to notify
of the desire of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to
send a delegation from the Ministry of Interior and the
National Security Agency, accompanied by a psychiatrist from
the Ministry of Health, to the United States of America to
visit the three Bahraini detainees at Guantanamo Base to
follow and observe their health and psychological status,
especially Juma Mohammed Al Dossari, who has a psychological
condition that led him to try to commit suicide several times.

The Ministry would appreciate it if the esteemed Embassy
would kindly notify the concerned authorities in the United
States of America of the desire of the Kingdom of Bahrain to
send the security and medical delegation to Guantanamo. The
Ministry would also appreciate the Embassy's response to this
matter as soon as possible.

The Ministry avails itself of this opportunity to renew to
the esteemed Embassy the assurances of its highest
consideration.


3. (C) Action Request: Post requests Department guidance in
responding to the diplomatic note.
