meeting with MFA Assistant Undersecretary for Coordination
and Follow Up Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and
A/DCM's June 10 delivery of reftel Gulf Security Dialogue
nonpaper, the MFA July 15 officially responded via diplomatic
note.
2. (S) The MFA welcomes the proposal on the bilateral Gulf
Security Dialogue and requests details regarding when talks
may commence.

presents its compliments to the United States Embassy and
with reference to the meeting between the Undersecretary of
coordination and follow-up at the Ministry with Assistant
Secretary of State Mr. John Hillen on May 14th, 2006, and who

raised Secretary Rice,s full support of having a bilateral
Gulf Security Dialogue between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the
United States.
The Ministry would like to inform the US Embassy that it
welcomes the proposal and would like to know when would be a
suitable time to start discussions regarding this matter.
