1. (U) Econoff July 2 delivered reftel demarche concerning
WTO negotiations on environmental goods to Ministry of
Industry and Commerce Director for Foreign Trade Relations
Ahmed Bubshait. Bubshait appreciated receiving the
information and said he would consider the points.
2. (U) Econoff July 3 provided reftel demarche to Commission
for the Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and
Wildlife Acting General Manager Dr. Shaker Khamdan. Khamdan
said he was unfamiliar with the issue and deferred to
Bubshait.
