1. (SBU) Poloff spoke with Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Director of Political Affairs Paul Chiunguzeni on November 16
to follow up on the points delivered in reftel B.
Chiunguzeni confirmed that the GOM will support Michael
Matheson, the U.S. candidate for the International Law
Commission. Chiunguzeni said that the MFA had sent
instructions to their Mission in New York on November 13 to
support Mr. Matheson.
