1. Post delivered reftel demarche by diplomatic note to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on May 3, 2006. Drawing
from the language provided, the note encouraged senior-level
GOK participation. Post will report septel on GOK attendance.
2. PolChief discussed the May 22-23 Democracy Assistance
Dialogue (DAD) with Turkish DCM Fethi Etem. In addition to
sending a note to the MFA, he said his embassy extended
personal invitations to Minister of Planning and Minister of
State for Administrative Affairs Dr. Masouma Al-Mubarak and
Head of the Arab Women's Business Council Hussa Saad
Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah. He welcomed U.S. support for the DAD
and promised to advise post of any response from the GOK.
