(C) As requested, Polcouns conveyed the points (ref A) on 
August 21 to Andriy Beshta, Acting Head of the UN Directorate 
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Recalling our previous 
demarches on the subject (ref B),Beshta repeated Polcouns' 
acknowledgement that Ukraine did not support the proposed 
resolutions or the calling of the special session on Lebanon 
mentioned in our demarche. He expressed appreciation for our 
views about the politicization of the Council, noting that 
they would be considered as Ukraine preparated for the next 
session.
