1. Post requests the Department's assistance in screening the
following candidates, who have been nominated for training in
the U.S., pursuant to the Leahy Amendment and Foreign
Assistance Act. These candidates are scheduled to
participate in the Near East and South Asia (NESA) course in
Washington, DC from November 29 to December 15, 2006. As of
this date, Post has no derogatory information. Post requests
a response from the Department by November 15, 2006 because
there is a risk of cancellation if the trainers are not
informed in time, and participants will require lead time to
make travel arrangements.
