1. Post requests the Department's assistance in screening
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Kishor Kumar Lama, who has
been nominated for training in the U.S., pursuant to the
Leahy Amendment and Foreign Assistance Act. The candidate is
scheduled to participate in Comprehensive Security Responses
to Terrorism (CSTR) training from November 29 to December 20,
2006, at the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies in
Hawaii. As of this date, Post has no derogatory information.
Post requests a response from the Department by November 15,
2006 because the nomination package process must be completed
and sent to Washington, DC before funding will be released.
