SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR LEAHY HUMAN RIGHTS VETTING: CSTR
TRAINING
1. Post requests the Department's assistance in screening
the following candidates, who have been nominated for
training in the U.S., pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign
Assistance Act. The candidates are scheduled to participate
in Comprehensive Security Responses to Terrorism (CSTR)
training from November 29 to December 20, 2006, with the Asia
Pacific Center for Security Studies in Hawaii. As of this
date, Post has no derogatory information. Post requests a
response from the Department by November 3, 2006 because the
nomination package process must be completed and sent to
Washington, DC before funding will be released.
