Charge delivered points on the U.S. reaction to the
North Korean nuclear test announcement (ref A) to Deputy
Prime Minister and Foreign Minister KP Sharma Oli October 10.
Oli reiterated the Government of Nepal's (GON's) position on
combating proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and
stressed that Nepal shared U.S. concerns over North Korea's
recent actions. Oli said he had already drafted a GON
statement condemning the test, which was awaiting the Prime
Minister's approval.
