According to CARICOM A/SYG Granderson, Haitian Interim Prime
Minister Latortue told Trinidad Prime Minister Manning
January 26 that CARICOM is welcome to send a mission to
observe the Haitian elections. Having now finally secured an
invitation, CARICOM is putting together and observer mission,
likely 20 persons. Granderson said that the CARICOM mission
will work under the rubric of the International Mission for
Monitoring Haitian Elections.
