Initiative Phase I to the office director of the Chairman of
Qatar's Customs and Ports General Authority, Mohamed
al-Mohannadi. Al-Mohannadi said that Qatar exports some
goods, particularly textiles, to the United States in
containers. He welcomed information on SFI and noted its
similarity to Qatar's use of X-Ray machines to examine
containers and trucks at points of entry. He said he would
study the non-paper in more detail and would propose any
relevant avenues of cooperation.
