Ambassador made points in reftel to Foreign Secretary HMGS
Palihakkara on June 8. Palihakkara said that he had discussed
the issue with his UN people just this week and had been told
there would be no action at the Board meeting. Ambassador
confirmed that was our understanding but that we were asking
our friends to make strong statements at the meeting to put
pressure on Iran. Palihakkara promised to consider our points
carefully.
