BEGIN UNOFFICIAL TRANSLATION:

The Slovak Republic together with the international community
observes carefully and with interest the course of the
referendum process in Montenegro, and respects the outcome of
the vote of its people. The Slovak Republic considers
important that Montenegro has accepted European and
democratic principles and standards through this process.

Thanks to the active approach of the citizens of Montenegro
towards this referendum, the process was fully legitimate,
which is the key to further progress in the region. The
Slovak Republic awaits the acknowledgement of the legitimacy
of the process from all involved political players in Serbia
and Montenegro. The Slovak Republic equally anticipates that
even the next developments confirm the respect and the
application of the rules and standards that will be the
foundation for the fulfillment and realization of the outcome
of the referendum.

The responsible approach of the politicians and citizens of
Montenegro and Serbia will also be a contribution towards the
strengthening of good neighboring ties, regional stability,
and security.

The Slovak Republic is convinced that the referendum and its
agenda provide Montenegro with a strong foundation for
continued and successful advancement of the country in the
prospective process of integration into Euro-Atlantic
structures.

The Slovak Republic as a member state of the European Union
in regards to the referendum process in Montenegro actively
participated in the promotion of democratic standards and
values, and considers this direct involvement as a mediator
of a legitimate referendum process to be a success of its own
foreign policy.

END UNOFFICIAL TRANSLATION.
