candidate Professor Ruth Wedgwood for the UN Human Rights
Committee (UNHRC) to the Colombian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. In a follow up discussion on August 11, MFA
Coordinator for the United States and Canada Patricia Cortes
confirmed that Colombia will support Professor Wedgwood's
candidacy. MFA intends to send a dip note to this effect
before the September UNHRC elections.
