1. (S) Global Affairs officer passed ref demarche to German
MFA Export Control Division Desk Officer Ina Schuett December

27. Schuett thanked us for the information and said she
would convey it to appropriate government officials for
consultation. She said that the Federal Economic and Export
Licensing Agency (BAFA) would be responsible for informing
German industry of the sensitivity of exporting specialty
steels to Iran.
