1. (U) Per reftel, PolOff delivered demarche to Ambassador
Amalia Mai, CEO of Belize Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)
and Belize MFA U.N Desk Officer Alphonso Gahona. Mai stated
that she would pass along the diplomatic note and Professor
Wedgwood's C.V. to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
2. (SBU) Gahona, who previously served in the Belize
mission to the U.N., was familiar with Professor Wedgwood.
In a separate conversation, North American Desk Officer
Aiesha Borland noted that she had read Professor Wedgwood's
work as an undergraduate in the U.S.
