1.(C) Per reftel, the Ambassador conveyed the U.S. statement
on Iran to Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Draskovic May 31.
Draskovic confirmed his government's support for the points
in reftel, responding with "Yes on all three points."

2.(C) The Ambassador plans to discuss the issue with Serbia
and Montenegro Minister of Human and Minority Rights Rasim
Ljajic. Ljajic's fellow party member (of the Sandzak
Democratic Party) is deputy chief of mission in Tehran and
might help provide more support for the U.S. statement. Any
response from Minister Ljajic will be reported in septel.
