1. (U) On May 24 and May 25, Post delivered to the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs reftel demarches concerning the May 27-30
NAM ministerial. The Director for the Americas Ghady
al-Khoury received the material and promised to pass it to
the responsible delegation members in preparation for the NAM
meeting. Al-Khoury advised us that Foreign Minister Fawzi
Salloukh will head the Lebanese delegation to the NAM
meeting. The delegation will be leaving for the meeting on
May 25.
2. (U) Al-Khoury said that on any issue related to Iran's
nuclear program, Lebanon is likely to follow the Arab
consensus.
