(C) Xinjiang public security officials on June 6 told
members of a Norwegian delegation traveling in
Xinjiang that Rebiya Kadeer's adult sons Alim and
Ablikim were being held in the Tianshan Detention
Center. In a meeting on the margins of the Norwegian
Human Rights Dialogue, the Deputy Director General of
the provincial PSB told the Norwegians that Alim had
thrown a rock at police when he was being detained and
police had had to use force against him, but the DDG
made no mention of hospitalization, Norwegian Poloff
Jo Inge Bekkvold told Poloff on June 15. The Xinjiang
official told the Norwegians that Kadeer's daughter
Rushangul was being held under house arrest. In
response to a Norwegian question, the official stated
that none of Rushangul's children are affected by the
house arrest order.
