1. (U) Post has learned that the following Paraguayan
Government Officials are planning to attend the 61st UN
General Assembly in September 2006:
A. President Nicanor Duarte Frutos
Arrival and departure dates have not been finalized.
At this time it is not known if 1st Lady Gloria Solaeche
de Duarte Frutos will be present.
A Spanish interpreter will be necessary in any bilateral
or multilateral meetings.
B. Foreign Minister Leila Rachid Lichi
Arrival and departure dates have not been finalized.
There is no spouse to accompany her.
A Spanish interpreter will NOT be necessary in any
bilateral or multilateral meetings. She speaks English.
