Control First Secretary Guven Begec on July 12. Begec
undertook to forward it to Deputy U/S for Political Affairs
Akgunay as requested. Begec stated that Turkey supports any
proposal to strengthen or update the various control regimes
with the goal of making them more effective. He added that
the GOT will closely review the details of the US proposal,
with a view to providing appropriate support at the next MTRC
Plenary.
