(C) We passed ref a points to MFA South Caucasus Department 
Head Suleyman Gokce on May 22. Gokce said the Turkish 
government shares U.S. concerns about Russian activities in 
South Ossetia and undertook to convey our information to 
other relevant offices in the MFA. Turkish officials have 
told us frequently that they are worried about creeping 
annexation, support the Georgian peace plan for South 
Ossetia, and support Georgia's integration with Euro-Atlantic 
institutions (refs b,c).
