Eihab Omaish and Muhib Nimrat in the Foreign Minister's
Private Office, and asked for confirmation that Jordan
intends to vote for Guatemala - rather than Venezuela - in
the 2006 UN Security Council election. Omaish and Nimrat
replied that they were not aware of any change in the Foreign
Ministry's position in favor of Guatemala, and stated that
they would check directly with the Foreign Minister Khatib
for confirmation. Post will report any further response via
septel.
