1. Post provides the following responses to the questions
posed in para 8 of reftel. Jordan has not followed Arab
League guidance on boycotting Israel since concluding its
peace treaty with Israel in 1994.
2. --the Government of Jordan does not require boycott
compliance questions of any company;
--the GOJ does not request that U.S. firms comply with
boycott requirements or provide information regarding such
compliance;
--suppliers, vendors, and service suppliers with whom
post does business do not comply with the Arab League Boycott
or other international boycotts;
--there are no boycott laws in Jordan;
--there is no Arab League Boycott office in Jordan; and
--there are no instances requiring the government to take
steps to correct attempted boycott compliance.
