1. (U) On June 2, Poloff called Sergey Savelyev, Deputy
Director of the MFA's Department of International
Organizations and Security Issues, to discuss the
Proliferation Security Initiative High-level Political
Meeting to be held in Warsaw on June 23, and to inquire as
to the GOK's plans for attending.
2. (SBU) Poloff informed Savelyev that U/S Joseph and U/S
Levy will attend the event, and urged him to ensure that
Kazakhstan was represented at a similar level. Savelyev
said that the GOK took this meeting very seriously and was
sending a delegation led by Yergali Mukhamedzhanovich
Bayadilov of the Security Council.
