1. (SBU) Deputy Foreign Minister Alejandra Liriano confirmed
to DCM October 4 that the Dominican Republic would cosponsor
the U.S. draft resolution, "International Partnership on
Avian and Pandemic Influenza: Statement of Core Principles,"
in the 60th UNGA (Ref A). Liriano said she would see whether
Dominican Ambassador to the United States Flavio Dario
Espinal could attend the related Senior Officials Meeting in
Washington (Ref B).
